African actors needed in Edinburgh and Glasgow in May

We've had a request from a film student for African actors. Here's what he had to say.

“The Red Marble” tells the story of Foday, a seemingly unassuming black African man in his 30s, who is robbed at gunpoint by a troubled American teen named Mel. Foday, it turns out, is a former child soldier and as he desperately tries to connect with a very unwilling Mel, ends up confronting his own devastating memories of a childhood lost.

This is an ECA Masters short film project being shot in Edinburgh & Glasgow in May for 5-6 days. We are actively seeking someone for the role of Foday. The script was written with Sierra Leone in mind but the story asks greater questions about war and its long-term effects on youth so we are open to casting a man in his 30s from other areas of Africa as well.

Although we cannot pay anyone, if you are interested we will cover all expenses related to the filming and value your time & energy beyond imagination! If interested please send an email to redmarblefilm@gmail.com and we can send you a copy of the script.
